A brief description of the Obedience training levels.

In our basic obedience program (level 1 obedience) the dogs learn good manners along with basic obedience requirements to include walking nicely on leash, sit at your side, down at your side, a sit/stay, a down/stay, place, and a recall (come).

In our intermediate obedience training (level 2 obedience) the dogs begin to transition to walking in a more formal heel position as well as learning new obedience requirements to include a sit in motion, a down in motion, a stand and a chill (optional). The dog training becomes more consistent as the handler becomes more consistent under the coaching of the dog trainer.

Advanced obedience (level 3) is the final stage of obedience training and includes all previous commands from levels 1 and 2.The dog is expected to walk in a formal heel position and perform all obedience exercises on the first command with no help (such as treats, toys, or leash pressure) from the handler/owner. Level 3 is a graded obedience exercise, a minimum score of 70% must be achieved to pass.
